Hola Hola!
So, its been a real interesting week this week. Due to a major drought here in the metropolitan area of trujillo Alto, we have to ration water...which means that we only have water every other 24 hours. 24 hours with water, 24 hours without water. Every day... Honestly, I never knew how much I appreciated water until I had to take a shower using a bucket. But, don't worry, I heated it up on the stove so I a least had hot water :) It is definitely an adventure!
So, Because of the water problem, all of our investigators who were progressing fled to other parts of the island to find water. BUT, because of that, we found new people :) So, when our other investigators come back we will have LOTS of progressing investigators :) One of the miracles, was that we were with a member, and all of our plans and back up plans just fell through, but then we thought of a woman, who lived nearby who we met in a bus stop with her two kids. We were only able to visit a moment, so we shared a bit. The member was able to share her testimony, and we left with a return appointment and the member is going to give her a bunk bed she is trying to get rid of in her house. 1. we have a new investigator 2. the new investigator now has a friend AND that friend will be contacting her in the week so they can share more than just in our lessons! 3. its a complete family! Miracles are great!
Also, another miracle was that it did rain a ton one day, but it is still not enough to get our water back...they say it has to rain for like 3 days straight to fill up the water reserves enough to not have to ration water....but, a less active helped us out and we were saved :)
Here are some pictures of making cookies with the wife of our mission president, a picture of Elder Cornish the area 70 who came and gave us training :)
Love you all!
