Hola!
So, I have so many exciting things to share with you all! First, TRANSFERS CAME! ....And, well, I am transfering! I'm going to Trujillo Alto, but, I will be a Sister Training Leader, which means, I will get to go on exchanges in all the areas of San Juan. I am SUPER excited to work there. Especially because my companion will be Hermana Gawrich! She lived with me in Cabo Rojo, my first area, although she wasn't my companion. We are just going to tear it up in San Juan!
Anyway, the new year is ROCKIN'! We had an investigator come to church this Sunday, and she just absolutely LOVED it! I won't be here to see that baptism, but it has been such a joy to just see the people in this area grow and progress. I want everyone of you to know, it really isn't about how many baptisms you have in a mission. All that matters is the input you personally put in to help other's come unto Christ. That is my purpose. To help other's come unto Christ. To help others find His gospel in their lives.
This week, my companion and I had the wornderful opportunity to have a mini missionary with us. Her name is Sister Zayas. She ROCKED IT this week. I learn so much from other missionaries, and from her, I learned the importance of a pure testimony. For a heart to be touched, you don't have to say something long, and beautiful. The most beautiful testimony is a testimony based simply on Jesus Christ, and His restored gospel. We had an experience with some awesome investigadors this week. We got to their house, and one of them had been reading the book of Mormon, and she really liked what we've taught her. But, she had a lot of questions. Her Husband and her Brother were there, and we tried to answer their questions to the best of our ability (I mean, I am only 20, and I don't know everything) But when it came down to it, I realized during the lesson that all of their questions were based on the restoration, so I bore my testimony of that. And then I invited each of them to pray to know if it is true. After that they were all silent, and they accetped the invitation.
Well, I love you all! Happy New Year! Make it the best year yet!
Love,
Hermana VanKammen
