HOLA HOLA!!!
Well, more than anything, I am very happy to hear all your experiences with my newly returned brother! I imagine it was very powerful :) thank for sharing your thoughts!
This week, my companion and I trained ourselves for the FBI. We are now professionals. Anyone who wants fantastic FBI agents who speak Spanish and English, you know where to find them :) Why you ask? Because we spent a lot of the week looking for people! Its my favorite activity 1. because it gives me an excuse to talk to people, 2. because of the feeling I get when we actually find someone! Anyway, as missionaries, we keep records, and we write who we teach, what we teach, where they live, and everything. So, we took a bunch of people that missionaries have taught in the past and looked for them. The records we looked for were people from like 5 years ago. Some of them didn't live there, but we found 2 new people who want to listen to the missionaries again, and a less active! Mission Accomplished.
We also trained ourselves by looking for a reference that a missionary gave us in Bolivia! This guy has grandparents who live here, and we were able to find them, teach them, and we have a return appointment to share again, and have pizza :) I know our visit made their day, and will make the day of their family. It gave me such joy to know that we have the opportunity to unite this family in the gospel.
Another great thing about this week was the ability to help so many people with their needs. I LOVE the gift of the Holy spirit. The gift of the Holy Spirit is not just the spirit that makes us feel good. But the Gift of the Holy Spirit is what helps us to know and understand the needs of every single person we teach and contact. This week we were able to really understand the needs, the doubts, and even the testimonies of the people we teach. I can testify that there is power when we really listen to the spirit, and to others. I invite you all to listen this week to one another. How can you understand the people you associate with every day better? Here's a scripture:
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the
Spirit and of power. 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Love you all! EXITO!
