So, here's what happened this week.....oh wait, I should probably say, HOLA TODOS!
Okay, now here's what happened this week! So, Last week, we passed by a bus stop coming from an appointment and there was a boy (well, more like a college student aged person) on his phone. We had passed him going to the appointment, but this time we decided to talk to him. Well, while we were talking to him, a woman and her two kids (one age 6 and he other age 2) came up to wait for the bus. Well, she came in halfway through explaining who we were and our message, so we caught her up after giving a card to the boy. She lived close by so we asked if we could visit her some time. She said YES!..but we couldn't set a specific date.... Well, we were with a member later on that week and our appointments and back up plans fell through, so as our last option, we decided to pay a visit to this new contact. Well, she was home! And, she invited us in to share a moment. Everything was crazy, but we were able to sing, pray and share a short message more about who we were and our purpose. We went back later with another member, and this member connected right with them, and we shared with her, her husband and two kids about the restoration. This time, all was calm, and peaceful, and the spirit touched their hearts. But, not only touched their hearts that we were able to visit them, but yesterday, they WALKED to the church building as a family (husband, wife, and two kids) and loved it :) It was such wonderful miracle to see them, a family, trying to unite each other to learn more about their savior Jesus Christ.
Another day, all of our appointments had fallen through, and we didn't have anywhere to go, but to contact an area, but we were able to find a women very much in need of a spiritual uplift, pray, and share a message. I love those little blessings that the Lord gives us. No matter what, the Lord finds those perfect moments :)
So, also, today for our p-day (preparation day) we hung out with birds and butterflies as a district :) The pictures can show it all, but to get there, we had to take a shuttle thing that took us super high off the ground, like we were flying! It was in the mountains so we could see all of Puerto Rico! Here are the pictures :)
Love, Hermana VanKammen
P.S. Still no rain. Please pray for rain. They are saying we might have to go without water for 48 hours! But, I still find joy heating my water every other morning to shower :)
