Querida Familia y Amigos,
So, there's this thing called frappe's here. No, not the coffee kind... Basically a smoothie...but, better :) They have ALL sorts of different kinds of frappe's and you can choose if you want fruit or chocolate or whatever. So, they are like ALL OVER here! A bunch of people just set up little kiosks on the side of roads and just vend things like hammocks, limbers and frappe's! The problem is that since we walk a lot, we pass right by the little frappe venders and its just so tempting to buy one, but, don't worry, I hold myself back so I don't get one every day :)
Anyway, life is amazing out here in Toa Baja (Durado, Corazol, Toa Alta and Naranjitos included because our area is absolutely HUGE!) My companion and I are constantly receiving blessings out here! It is crazy because sometimes we will be walking, and we'll have citas (appointments) and they will all fall through, so we go to our back up plan but those fall through too, and then we don't know what to do except walk. At those times I will admit I am discouraged. My feet start to ache, and all I want is a nice house to go into to share a lesson. But, then I realize there has to be SOMEONE out there in that area that we are walking that needs to hear this wonderful message, so I search, and I start talking. Then, we find people. We get new citas and we find God's children. I can truly testify of miracles. They are REAL! We just have to be patient enough to wait for them.
I know that when we are diligent and have a real desire to do something, we are blessed to receive a way to do it. I love you all! Stay safe and be PATIENT! Good things come to those who wait :)
Also, we are having so much success finding people to teach in this area. One of them is an adorable man that we are preparing for baptism :) He lives in the mountains and he is an astronomer! I have a picture with him :)
Love,
Hermana VanKammen
The other pictures are of me and my companion, and then me with the frape's :)
